Open 12-5pm Saturday, June 7 with “Whiting Tennis” and his band performing lo-fi indie music on the Punch Stage 3-5pm. In the PUNCH Gallery, join us for the opening weekend of “Cloud Break” curated by Will Bow.
Let us ask you, are you feeling overwhelmed? Stuck on a loop of crummy news, scrolling articles and headlines that are bumming you out constantly? There’s lots to get mucked down in now, believe us … we get it. But every so often through the muck-bog-storm we see moments of hope, glorious visions of light that hurl us out of the dumps, even if it’s momentarily. Those moments give us energy and they give us a sense that the world can be and is an alright place. Sometimes it’s a cool bug or moss in the woods getting hit by light just ever so perfectly, sometimes it’s hearing a kind-loving conversation between strangers at the grocery, a dog booping someone in the buns, a meal where you can taste the love … you know, the good stuff. We need these types of moments now and again. “Cloud Break” is a grouping of art that is inspired by such moments.
