CWU Chamber Choir by Candlelight: The Remembering

Dr. Nicole Lamartine will lead the CWU Chamber Choir in their annual candlelight concert, “The Remembering.” The concert always sells out, so get your tickets soon! Ellensburg’s own Valley Voices Community Choir will perform at the beginning of the program. In the quiet glow of candlelight, we gather to remember that we are not separate from the world around us, but part of a vast and interconnected living whole. This year’s Chamber Choir by Candlelight Concert invites us to remember the lives, voices, creatures, places, and rhythms that have shaped our shared existence—and to listen for the connections that bind us together. The choir creates the audience experience through a continuous collage program interwoven with prose, improvisation, chamber groups, and solos. The concert concludes with candlelight illuminating the church as everyone sings “Silent Night.” Tim Ribner from Portland, Oregon is the featured collaborator, and special guest Jeff Selden will perform with the choir on guitar.
