Bite of the 'Burg

The Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce is putting on the annual Bite of the 'Burg on September 23, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Bite of the 'Burg is a street festival that happens the day before Central Washington University classes commence to welcome new and returning students to Ellensburg. Taking place on 4th Avenue between Pearl and Ruby Street, vendors line the street to give out great good, great swag and great fun! It creates an opportunity for businesses to introduce themselves to a new wave of customers and show newcomers what Ellensburg has to offer.
 

VENDOR INFORMATION

Set Up 

Vendors will be able to start setting up around 1:00 p.m. and the event will run from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Vendors should be set up no later than 1:45 p.m. Please make sure you bring everything you need in order for your booth to be successful, whether that is a table, chairs, power cords, tents with weights, table cloths, etc, as we will not be providing you with any materials.

• Bring enough giveaways/goodies/food to last the entire event (APPROXIMATELY 2,500 ATTENDEES)
• Just a reminder for Bite of the ‘Burg vendors, all items at your booth must be free and given away to attendees, (i.e. no alcoholic beverages, no selling merchandise or food and no ‘roving’ with merchandise – you must stay your booth).
• If your business is putting your own table directly in front of your establishment on the sidewalk- there is no fee (please complete this form anyway by selecting side street business so we know you are coming)
• Businesses must remain set up for the entire duration of the event. Businesses that leave early will be charged an early withdrawal fee of $10.00.
• Bite of the Burg is a family friendly event. No lewd or profane materials allowed.
• Food service must comply with County Health Department Requirements - if you are a food vendor please attach a copy of your Kittitas County Health Permit to this application. Please Contact KCPH for questions on Food Service Permits 509-962-7515.
• If your business has a catering license you are allowed to serve food away from your establishment and don’t need to purchase a temporary food permit.
• We reserve the right to restrict any activities that interfere with public access and or event programming.

Event Hours & Location
Bite of the ‘Burg will be Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 2:00pm-5:00pm, the event will be held in downtown Ellensburg on 4th Ave from Pearl St to Ruby St.

Street Closures
4th Ave. from Pearl St. to Ruby St. will be closed. Intersection of Pearl St. & Pine St. will remain open.

Restrictions
No alcoholic beverages, no selling merchandise, loud music, televisions, or vendors that ‘rove’ with their merchandise. We reserve the right to restrict any activities that interfere with public access and or event programming.

Cancellations
Either party may cancel within 30 days of the performance and not be subject to a penalty if said cancellation is due to an Act of God, Act of War, or COVID-19.
